History

Our founder Alfred Pinto began his sales career in the refrigeration industry in the late 1950's. In the early 1960's he formed a representative agency that sold many types of refrigeration components to commercial HVACR wholesalers, OEM commercial equipment manufacturers, and domestic appliance parts equipment manufacturers. By 1969 Alfred saw a real need for the development of copper component parts integral to the commercial and domestic manufacturers of refrigeration systems.

In April of 1971, Stamford was born. The site is located conveniently close to the US/Canadian border with same-day access to more than a third of the North American marketplace.

Drew Pinto joined Stamford in 1980 in the sales division. He gained General Manager status in 1990, and in August of 2008, assumed controlling interest as President and CEO. Drew continues Stamford's historical commitment to excellence, quality and service.

We are proud to have continued to serve our customers for close to 40 years. We look forward to the anniversary of Stamford Metal Products in April of 2011.
